Church of business?
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), City of David has unveiled a 14- storey building it calls Trinity Towers in Lagos.
The City of David said rental proceeds from
the building would be donated to charity.
The Enoch Adeboye-led church said the
building is the first of its kind in Lagos with
many features.
This prompted the foundation of the “Model Parishes” through which endless millions in the higher classes of the general public have come to know the Lord. Poor people, penniless and oppressed have not been overlooked, as Enoch Adeboye has a profound empathy for spirits.
He was appointed a minister of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in 1977. He became General Overseer of the congregation in 1981. For a very long time, he occupied the job at Unilorin prior to surrendering his teaching job to lecture full-time. The congregation, which was not notable preceding Adeboye turning into the General Overseer, has branches in around 196 countries (as of March 2017), remembering more than 14,000,000 for Nigeria. Adeboye has expressed that his point is to put a congregation within five minutes strolling distance in creating urban communities and five minutes driving distance in created urban communities.
