Sunday morning raid on band!ts’ hideout at Tandama village resulted in the killing of at least eight bandits and rescue of six abducted victims, police in Katsina said.
Notorious Fulani band!ts kingpin Abdulkarim Faca-faca was killed during the raid, police spokesman Gambo Isah disclosed in a statement.
However, A few Fulani band!ts escaped with bullet wounds while rustled cows perished in the air raid, Mr Isah pointed out.
Among the rescued victims were 52-year- old Garba Dan-Mallam, Rabiu Idris, aged 45 and Abba Samaila, 38-year-old, all of Unguwar Nuhu LGA.
“Also, Yunusa Sani, aged 54, Ishaq Yakub, 40 and Danjuma Samaila, aged 45, all of Layin Sani Village Kafur,” he said.
