Zubby Michael’s real name is Egwu Azubuike Michael; he was born on the 1st of February 1985 and is a Nigerian citizen from Ekwusigo Local Government Area, Anambra State.

He is a film actor with a household name in the Nollywood movie industry as Zubby Michael. The net worth of Zubby Michael is currently $6 million.

Zubby grew up in Adamawa State where he obtained his primary and secondary education. He attended the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications. He currently has a single marital status.


Zubby Michael began his acting career as early as age 8, However, he starred in his movie, “missing rib”, after completing his first Degree education. His boom in the Nollywood Entertainment industry was in 2006 when he was cast in the movie “three widows” alongside Oge Okoye.

After the movie, Zubby Michael became very popular and went ahead to act on other Nigerian home videos like ‘The Implication’, ‘The Generals, ‘Princess Rihanna’, ‘Stolen love’, ‘The killer’, among other movies from over the years.


Zubby Michael has been nominated for so many awards in the Nigerian Entertainment Industry and has likewise won some awards. He was appointed the special advisor on Media to the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano on 25th November 2019. All these are attributed to building the net worth of Zubby Michael.

Though Zubby Michael is single, he has a son which he keeps off the eyes of the media. He was formerly in a relationship with Mary Okoye, The younger sister to Peter and Paul Okoye.

The Duo (Zubby Michael and Mary Okoye) broke up with the actor revealing that Mary was ready to settle down but he (Zubby) was not ready for the commitments of marriage.
