If 500 world leaders can unite for the burial of Queen Elizabeth II, which is a commendable thing, why can’t they unite to tackle the world’s problems? The living deserve the type of unity we are seeing them give to the dead! Such unity can solve global challenges! We have the Russia-Ukraine war, the Ethiopia-Tigray conflict, the Yemeni crisis. We also have the Mediterranean Migrant Crisis, and the dire situation in Myanmar. There is also the tension between Mainland China and Taiwan ROC. And even more important is the world food crisis that is seeing almost a billion people go hungry. These are equally worthy causes that should spur such unity as we see on display today. Ukraine is represented at the Queen’s funeral. Russia is also there. Ethiopia is there. Yemen is there. The 500 world leaders that are presently at the Queen’s funeral can as well unite and talk to their colleagues from these countries and end wars to save lives. Unite for the living, not just the dead.
Once again, I wish members of the royal family the fortitude to bear their loss. Reno Omokri posted on his page
